BIOGRAPHY – Professional Career

The Ukrainian fighter Aram Faniian convinces with a technically solid style and a lot of variety in his punches. In his pursuit of a world title, the combination of great experience and a young age comes in very handy.

The talented Ukrainian took his first steps in the world of boxing under the guidance of the highly decorated Ukrainian coach Vladimir Vladimirovich Bogatyrenko. Faniian won the national championship in amateur boxing twice. The tech-savvy boxer completed around 130 national and international fights as an amateur and was selected to represent his country at the European Championships.

After venturing into the pro ranks in 2014 at the tender age of 17, Faniian won his first 13 fights using a classy combination of boxing intellect and technical ability. His fight record now stands at 19 wins and only one loss. Faniian always works very consistently from a distance with fast jabs, but also counters with fast, hard uppercuts when his opponents bull forward.

While most of his victories were achieved through dominant point decisions, he is increasingly using his punching power. It is due to Faniian’s young age that he is still maturing as a fighter. In this context, his ability to use precise body punches to weaken and knock out his opponents has been improving in the last few fights.

At the age of only 24, Aram already entered the big boxing stage and fought twice for international titles. In his last fight, his fourth in 2020 and the most important of his career so far, he secured the vacant WBO Oriental Super Light title by knocking out the previously undefeated Yuriy Vishnyakov in the fifth round.

Now Aram Faniian wants to climb the international rankings by staying active and fighting the best possible opponents.
